Wood Chip Washing Process of APMP Paper Pulp Processing

In order to obtain a good washing effect, the chips from the preparation system are heated to 60-70°C and stay for 20 minutes in the chip bin. After washed with water, they are sent to the inclined dehydration screw and then enter the first pre-steaming bin.

Wood chips are agitated in the scrubber to remove surface debris, such as sand, gravel, metal and others which are often deposited on the bottom of the scrubber and can be removed periodically. The washed wood chips are pumped to the dehydration screw that has a perforated screen plate that can separate the wood chips from the water. The water generated by the washing system is separated by an inclined screen to separate wood chips and other debris.

Two-stage impregnation of APMP Paper Pulping Machinery

The first stage

After washed, the wood chips enter normal-pressure pre-steaming bin (95°C for 5-8mins), and here the normal-pressure steam is adopted to eliminate the air and soften wood chips to facilitate mechanical compression and impregnation. The steamed chips are then sent to modular screw device impressafiner (MSD). Here the air and excess moisture and resin in the chips can be expelled. And the unwanted water-soluble substances and fine impurities can be also removed. This can improve the impregnation of chemical liquors. Loose wood wool clusters can contact the liquors as much as possible and can be easily penetrated by them.

After the wood chips stayed in the impregnate vessel for a period of time (About 2mins), the pre-impregnated chips are lifted to the top of the vessel to remove the excess liquor and sent the first stage reaction chamber by normal-pressure screw (70-75°C, 25mins) so that the impregnated wood wool clusters can fully react with chemical liquors.

The second stage

Out of the first reaction chamber, the wood wool clusters are conveyed to the second modular screw device impressafiner (MSD) by normal pressure screw. And the They are sent to the second impregnate vessel and then the impregnated clusters are sent to the second reaction chamber (40-45mins, 70-75°C). This is equivalent to H2O2 high-concentration bleaching. After the reaction, the clusters are metered into the first refiner.

Two-stage refining of APMP Pulp Production Line

APMP pulp refining

APMP pulp generally adopts normal pressure refining technology by paper pulper manufacturers. Normal pressure refining means its low pressure in the refining zone in order to reduce invalid decomposition of H2O2 and improve the whiteness of the pulp favorably. After refined, the pulp will be sent to normal pressure diffuser and add a large amount of white water to condense the steam in the pulp. The pulp will be diluted to a concentration of 3.5% to 4.5%. After being stored in the middle pulp pool for a period of time, it is pumped to modular screw device impressafiner. Here it will be washed and concentrated to a higher concentration. Next, it will be fed into the second normal pressure refiner by double-roller metering screw. The refined pulp will be left in the latency chest for a period of time and the pulp concentration was 4%.

Screen

In order to remove fiber bundles, the screen is selected with a slit width of 0.15mm. The pulp is fed at a concentration of 1.0% to 1.5% to the low concentration pulp tank and concentrated to 12% by the disc concentrator, and then sent to the high concentration pulp tower for the storage. The pulp at the bottom will be diluted to 3.5% and sent to the paper making workshop.
